SUMMER’S PREMIER RUNNING EVENT
(TWILIGHT RUNFEST 8k)

Rockville’s largest downtown summer party will be held again this year in conjunction with the Rockville Rotary Twilight Runfest, summer’s premier road racing event!  The festival begins at 7 pm on July 21, with the 8k at 8:45 pm and the Fun Run starting at 8:50 pm at the Rockville Town Center.  It is presented by the Rockville Rotary Club and hosted by the City of Rockville Department of Recreation and Parks.  The race is conducted by the Montgomery County Road Runners Club.  Race proceeds go to support the Rockville Rotary Youth Recreation Fund, which enables Rockville youth to participate in fee-paid recreation programs. 

Truly being a community event, the 8k course takes you through the local neighborhoods and around Montgomery College campus.  The fun run starts at the 8k and is a short out and back course.  After the race, there will be live music and plenty of food and refreshments for all. 

There are a variety of ways to register.  Mail-in registration must be postmarked by July 14 in order to receive an entry confirmation.  Online registration will be available until 12 Noon, July 18.  Late registration will be conducted at RnJ Sports, 11910-R Parklawn Drive, Rockville, Friday 7/20, 6-9 pm and Saturday, 7/21, 12 Noon – 4 p.m.   On-site registration will be held 6-8 pm at Rockville Town Center.
