EVERYTHING’S COMING UP ROSES AT METRO RUN AND WALK
(MCRRC RUN FOR ROSES 5K REGISTRATION DAY)

The Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCRRC) will conduct a special registration day for the upcoming “Run for Roses 5K for Women” at Rockville’s Metro Run and Walk on Sunday, May 20, 2001, from 1-4 p.m.  The “Run for Roses” is a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Women’s Distance Festival 5k and the first event of the 2001 Maryland State RRCA Women’s Grand Prix Series. 

The Run for Roses will be held at Wheaton Regional Park on Saturday; June 23, 2001, at 8:00 a.m.  In addition to the women’s 5k there will be a free ¼ mile and ½ mile young run for kids 12 and under at 7:45 a.m. 

Be a part of celebrating women’s running by signing up early.  Metro Run and Walk is located at 1776 East Jefferson Street, Rockville, Maryland.  Take Route 355 (Rockville Pike) north past White Flint to 1776 Plaza (Bennigans and CompUSA are in the front of the plaza).  Turn left and follow the parking lot to the back of the building.   They can be reached at 301-984-2900.
