Also of note:
Oldest active "streaker" is Carlton Mendell, 79, of Portland, Maine, with 23
consecutive Boston Marathons; Andrea Hatch, 57, of Charlestown, Mass., is
the female with the longest string (23).

The legendary Johnny "The Elder" Kelley, who participated in 61 and finished
58 Boston Marathons completed 24 consecutive Boston Marathons (1969-1992)
prior to his retirement from running the full marathon distance.

Kelley, who won the race in 1935 and 1945 and finished as runner-up on seven
other occasions (18 Top Ten finishes in all), also completed 23 consecutive
Boston Marathons between 1933-1955. He started, but did not finish, the 1956
marathon.  Had Kelley finished that year's race, he would have completed 35
consecutive Boston Marathons: the number of races that the current
consecutive string leader, Neil Weygandt, will complete in 2001.
