April 16th, On-line Registration Opens

The Army Ten Miler, the world's largest ten-mile race,  opens registration on-line 
starting April 16th. The 17th Annual Army Ten-Miler will be held Sunday, October 14, 2001 
in Washington, DC.  This year's runner field has increased to 18,000.  Registration will
remain open until September 14, 2001 at 5:00 pm EST or until the runner
field is full.  Register at www.armytenmiler.com.

Web Site Renovations. www.armytenmiler.com
has a new look. A partnership with Active.com has resulted in a
cutting-edge website with enhanced individual and team registration tools,
a new ten-mile training program and many other new and innovative tools.
When visiting the website be sure to check out our polling questions,
 bulletin board discussions and monthly newsletters along with all the other
important race information.

Calling all Artists. We are looking for talented artists to participate in
the 3rd Annual Army Ten-Miler T-shirt Design Contest.  Go to
www.armytenmiler.com to review contest rules.  All designs must be
submitted by 5:00 pm EST May 25, 2001.  There is a limit of 2 entries per
person.  Runners will vote on-line June 11 - 15. The winning design will
become the 2001 runners' t-shirt and the designer will receive $1000.
Don't forget to cast your vote!

Changes in Registration. The most noticeable change in registration will be
the appearance of the on-line registration form.  One new feature will
allow you to go back and purchase pasta dinner tickets on-line at a later
date. Team captains now have several new tools for managing their teams
and they can also make team changes without incurring additional charges.
